why psychotherapy and counselling?
People come to see a psychotherapist or counsellor for many varied reasons and at a different times in their life, so taking that first step can be daunting. You may be experiencing a difficult time in your life and are feeling stuck, thinking about the past or worrying about the future. You may want to find out more about yourself, why you react to certain triggers or how do relationships keep turning out the same way. Perhaps you are hoping to make some changes in your life with regards to work, relationships or school. A psychotherapist can make a profound difference in this journey and can be very beneficial.
My name is Kate and I offer psychotherapy and counselling in Steyning, Horsham, Brighton and surrounding areas for adolescents, young people and adults. I am committed to providing therapy in a safe, confidential and non-judgemental environment. With the increasing demands in our busy lives we can easily numb ourselves, distract or push away how we are really feeling or bury events that have happened that need to be processed. We do this to get through the every day but if left continually it can lead to anxiety, depression and self destructive patterns of behaviour. Friends and family can be an enormous support but at times it is appropriate to turn to a trained psychotherapist or counsellor. I aim to work in a holistic manner incorporating mind, body and spirit to feel whole again. I have been trained in the modality of Transactional Analysis and you can find out more about this school of thought under Psychotherapy & Counselling.
